Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery can remove bags, pouches and excess skin from under and over your eyes. Sometimes the procedure includes a forehead and eyebrow lift, which smoothes wrinkles and raises sagging eyebrows.

After surgery, swelling and bruising can be reduced by keeping cold compresses on your eyes. You may need to rinse your eyes with an eye wash and use eye drops for a few days. Most people are up and around a day or two after surgery.

The sutures come out in less than a week, and the bruising and swelling (which can be covered with makeup) will gradually subside.

Some people experience excessive tearing or sensitivity to bright light for a brief period after surgery. Any scars will fade and become barely noticeable over the next one to two months.

The results can be dramatic.

You'll look refreshed and alert. Most people won't know you've had surgery unless you tell them, though they may tell you how good you look.

You'll be able to see how pretty and expressive your eyes really are - and so will everyone else.
